Today’s all about love. So I decided to make a list of things I’m vibing right now. We could all use a little more love in our lives. And 1975 songs, we could all use more of them.
5 THINGS I LOVE RIGHT NOW
1.throwbacks. No, I’m not talking about the hashtag you use on your Thursdays to distract from the fact that you’re only posting a photo because you look really hot in it. (you do that. we all do that.) I’m talking about that good stuff, tell em THROWBACKS. I man honestly, is there anything truly more satisfying than hearing an old song you use to jam to and still being able to flawlessly rap to Nicki Minaj’s verse without even batting an eye? I think not. I’m a sucker for a good throwback. And it’s not just throwback music that’s good for the soul. Put on a pink one-piece, go feed your tamagotchi and pull out your old High School Musical posters. It’s time. Reliving the glory days is so important, and a key ingredient to happiness.
2.ice cubes. You really should know this about me already, but there are a few new faces around here so I’ll explain. I have a love affair. With ice cubes. Especially during summer. You will find me watching Netflix with a bowl cointaining lots of ice cubes, that’s like my shiiiit!! I eat it like candy. Some people think it’s weird. Many are confused. But please, it’s very special to me and I ask you politely to not judge me on something you can’t understand.
3.accents, british specifically. If you have traveled with my family you’re probably wondering why we jump in and out of british accents all the time. I’ve been a fan of a good british accent since I stumbled upon the series ´Little Britain.´It also helps that I’m hopelessly devoted to Harry Styles and the queen herself, mom who we all make a bit fun of because she’s so proud of her british accent that she has forced up on us kids since the tender age of 5. ANYWAYS when I went to Ireland with mom in February mom only spoke in accents the entire time, which carried over the entire trip. It’s hilarious because we are so bad at them, yet mom manages to make people believe we are in fact british people. (but if you dare say mom’s is better than mine, you will be BLOCKED) It’s so fun, and just a better way to live. So, in conclusion, we are not british. But we will be someday.
4.my love language besides words of admiration is memes, astrology, personalized music playlist. I’m a very easy girlfriend. I’m not needy. I’m not high maintenance. I don’t need constant affection. (lol, I’m pretty sure someone would tell you otherwise.) I just need a funny meme every 25-30 minutes, being tagged in TikTok videos where the astrologer explains how our love was written in the stars and continuing boosting us to another dimension with the “how perfect match we are for each other” talk + a playlist of songs that makes you think of me that get’s updated regularly. That’s all I ask.
5. Public Service Announcement to go watch the movie ´CODA.´ You’ll cry. You’ll question the meaning of life. You will Google «are angels real and is Ruby Rossi one of them» It’s my top 3. Of all time. That’s an honor. So you should take my word for it.
